WBBB Recruitment 2015 : Application are invited for engagement of one District Co-ordinator for each district of Darjeeling, Coochbehar, Malda, North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, Nadia, Murshidabad, Howrah, Hooghly, Paschim Medinipur, Purba Medinipur, Purulia, Bankura, Burdwan and Birbhum of West Bengal.

Remuneration : Rs. 15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand Only) p.m. consolidated + Travelling & contingency.

Eligibility Criteria :

1. Age Limit : Not less than 45 years as on the date of publication of the advertisement.
2. Educational Qualification : Minimum Higher Secondary (any stream)
3. Must be permanent resident of the district with intensive knowledge about the district.
4. Knowledge on biodiversity and related issues.
5. About 20 years of experience in working with environment/ social/ education/ govt. sector.
6. Having good interpersonal skill and liaison ability.
7. Preferably having proficiency in report preparation.

Age & experience may be relaxable for outstanding candidates.

Job Requirement :

• To facilitate constitution of Biodiversity Management Committee (BMC) at Blocks & Municipalities.
• To co-ordinate with district Nodal Officers, BMCs & W.B. Biodiversity Board.
• To organize meetings, awareness programmes for capacity building for BMCs and concerned officials of the district(s).
• To facilitate & monitor the preparation of People's Biodiversity Register (PBR) of the district(s).
• Extensive travelling to maintain close contact between the Board and the district(s) to expedite the implementation of the provisions of Biological Diversity Act, 2002 in the district.

Selection Procedure : Candidates will be short-listed on the basis of applications. Board reserves the right to call only the requisite number of candidates for interview after shortlisting with reference to the candidates' qualification, suitability, experience etc. Incomplete applications without self-attested copies of certificates/testimonials or applications received after the last date are liable to be rejected.
